Role Overview
Boeing is seeking a Product Security Engineer (Lead) for the 787 Airplane Programs PSE team in North Charleston, South Carolina (onsite). The Lead Product Security Engineer provides technical guidance and leadership for product security engineering across the 787 program lifecycle. The role is accountable for successful technical planning and performance of PSE for the 787 Airplane Programs.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the principal technical subject matter expert and lead engineer for 787 Product Security Engineering concerns across products, and production and factories
- Provide technical leadership to assigned and deployed PSE teammates
- Establish technical strategies, plans, and proposals for projects
- Support the determination and characterization of PSE-related work, roles, and responsibilities needed to meet 787 project requirements
- Support the 787 PSE Leader in development of business and people plans
- Lead technical design reviews, including establishing and validating assumptions to support engineering excellence across the program lifecycle
- Participate in 787 system, engineering, and program-level change boards as a technical stakeholder
- Contribute as a technical stakeholder and participant in 787 Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) and Safety Management Systems
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
- Deliver dependable, predictable, and consistent PSE integrated across the program lifecycle, including security and resiliency of 787 production and factory
Education
Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or related field (including Engineering Technology with Manufacturing Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
Required Qualifications
- 9+ years of related experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification, and product security
- Experience coordinating and presenting technical content to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
- Comprehensive understanding of airplane systems and networks
Relevant Certifications and Technologies
- CISSP, Security+, CEH, CCNA
- UNIX/LINUX System Administration
- GIAC GPEN, GIAC GWAPT, GIAC GXPN
- Offensive Security Certified Engineer (OSCE), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cybersecurity, security network architecture, embedded systems security, security testing and evaluation, network design
- Comprehensive understanding of DO-326B, DO-356A, DO-355
- 5+ years of related experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification, product security
- Technical leadership with a positive and curious mindset
- One or more security certifications, including (but not limited to) CISSP; Security+; CEH; CCNA; UNIX/LINUX System Administration; GIAC GPEN, GWAPT, or GXPN; OSCE; OSCP

Compensation and Schedule
Summary Pay Range: $162,350 - $219,650 per year. Shift: 1st shift.
