Advanced Software Engineer
Job Description
Advanced Software Engineer role focused on building and integrating software test systems for mission-critical hardware.
- Design and develop software-based test systems for mission-critical hardware
- Integrate software with electrical hardware and National Instruments hardware
- Automate functional and performance testing of physical hardware through software
- Develop and maintain digital signal processing (DSP) software and test applications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering (or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field) plus minimum 5 years relevant experience
- OR Master’s degree plus 3 years relevant experience
- Preferred at time of hire: Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- Selected applicants will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Due to work performed within company facilities: U.S. citizenship is required
- Experience working with electrical hardware, both hands-on and programmatically
- Experience with National Instruments hardware
- Proficiency with one or more of: C/C++, Object Oriented Development, Windows, Visual Studio, .NET
- Background implementing DSP software
- Experience automating testing of physical hardware via software
- Ability to lead the software development process
- Expertise applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges creatively
- Collaborative team player focused on providing technical leadership and helping others succeed
- Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
