Application Engineer - Compressor Valves at Hoerbiger, onsite in Pompano Beach, FL.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and expand the standard valve product portfolio for OEM customers.
• Perform part inspections and produce detailed technical reports with actionable recommendations.
• Lead projects from initiation to completion, coordinating work and providing timely status updates in the Workflow system.
• Proactively address technical challenges by evaluating options, presenting viable solutions, and implementing decisions.
• Provide emergency technical support, including occasional travel to customer sites for critical troubleshooting (typically 2–3 trips per year).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or 3-4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on evaluating trade-offs to achieve optimal results.
• Solid understanding of assembly drawings, piping diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Foundational knowledge of ASTM/ASME specifications, pipe flange design, and steel metallurgy.
• Proficiency in CAD modeling, with Autodesk Inventor preferred.
• Experience with database querying using SQL and Excel VLOOKUP.
