Job Description
This junior C++ software engineering role centers on contributing to solution architecture and addressing project-wide challenges under direct supervision, employing Agile methodologies to drive progress across multiple initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop solution architecture and resolve complex issues across a range of projects through requirements analysis, expert support, and project oversight.
- Apply fundamental principles, theories, and concepts, including limited industry knowledge.
- Solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity, escalating more complex concerns as needed.
- Perform work under direct supervision.
Requirements
- Experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software applications using Agile methodologies.
- Experience writing source code for new applications or enhancing code samples for existing applications.
- Experience creating solutions to complex problems in a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of C++ fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, data types and structures, standard library, memory management, and design patterns.
- Ability to problem-solve and think critically about software issues, including using debuggers and testing infrastructure to troubleshoot problems.
- Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.

Work Model
- Onsite: Work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with collaboration with colleagues and customers as required by the role.

Compensation
The projected salary range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 per year (USD), with compensation determined by factors including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific considerations. The displayed range represents typical compensation for this role and is one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package.
