Civil Engineer (5 years experience required)

Milano & Grunloh Engineers, LLC is a fast paced, growing civil engineering firm based in Effingham, Illinois. Established in 1979, the firm currently employs 20+ professionals. Our client base is typically within a 90 mile radius of Effingham, offering the opportunity to work close to home while making an impact on local communities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee a variety of civil engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Organize and execute projects from inception to finish, ensuring delivery of quality results.
• Prepare plans using Civil 3D software, covering streets, sewers, and utilities.
• Develop details, specifications, and bidding documents.
• Prepare regulatory permits for projects as needed.
• Administer municipal projects, including attending client meetings.
• Attend council and board meetings as required.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills when coordinating with clients on current and future projects.

Qualifications

• Illinois Professional Engineer license.
• Minimum of 5 years of Civil Engineering experience, including permitting, design, and construction of land development projects.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D and AutoCAD software.
• Knowledge of Illinois Department of Transportation specifications, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to effectively manage client relationships.
• Strong team player capable of managing and contributing to multiple projects simultaneously.
