Civil Engineer / Project Manager
Job Description
Civil & Survey, LLC is hiring a production-focused Civil Engineer / Project Manager to deliver construction-ready civil design packages and guide projects through permitting to closeout.
Responsibilities
- Produce civil engineering designs, calculations, and reports across a mix of project types, primarily municipal, industrial, and land development
- Draft and deliver construction-ready plan sets
- Develop site, grading, utility, and drainage plans with supporting calculations
- Shepard projects through the permitting process
- Assemble Opinions of Probable Construction Cost
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, contractors, and stakeholders from concept through construction closeout
Requirements
- Ability to independently produce accurate civil site designs, calculations, and plan sets
- EIT at minimum; PE preferred
- Proficiency in a civil CAD platform; Carlson and/or Civil 3D preferred
- Strong civil engineering fundamentals and attention to detail for buildable deliverables
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Self-starter who manages time, owns work, and asks good questions before issues grow
- Land surveying experience is a plus
- PE license (any state) or have you passed the EIT (Required)

Where You’ll Work
- EIT / Early-career PE: in-office in St. Louis
- Experienced PE: in-office in St. Louis or remote depending on independence, communication, production ability, and project responsibility
- Remote candidates: must manage workflow, communicate clearly, and deliver accurate work without close supervision
- Work location: Hybrid remote in Webster Groves, MO 63119
Compensation
- EIT / production-focused civil engineer: around $75,000 to start, depending on experience and ability
- Experienced production engineer: generally $95,000–$120,000, depending on project responsibility
- PE / project manager: generally $115,000–$135,000, depending on ability, leadership, and responsibility
- Experienced PE / project manager who also brings in profitable work: $135,000+ plus incentive bonus opportunity
