Job Description
Stetson Global seeks experienced Data Center Engineers/Technicians for an onsite role in San Antonio, TX, offering a salary range of USD 100,000 - 150,000 annually and 40-60% travel to support construction and commissioning of data centers for a global firm.
Responsibilities
- Support the construction and commissioning of data centers for a global client, ensuring cohesive integration of electrical, mechanical, and IT systems.
- Commissioning planning: Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules for data center projects, aligning with project milestones.
- System testing: Perform hands-on testing of electrical, mechanical, and IT components to verify performance against design specifications and operational requirements.
- Documentation: Produce detailed commissioning reports documenting test results, deficiencies, and corrective actions with traceable records.
- Coordination: Collaborate with design, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless system interfaces and handoffs.
- Quality assurance: Verify installed systems operate in accordance with industry standards and best practices through rigorous checks.
- Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of issues encountered during commissioning and implement timely solutions.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, and regulations across all commissioning activities.
- Training: Deliver training and ongoing support to operations staff and local crews on newly commissioned systems, including handover documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical engineering, with recent involvement in data center projects; experience with battery storage systems, HVAC, structured cabling, and electrical utilities is preferred.
- Proficiency in engineering design software, specifically AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience in field service and international travel is preferred. Foreign language experience (Spanish, Arabic, Filipino / Tagalog, Hindu / Urdu, French or Portuguese) is a big plus.
