Job Description
This contract opportunity with Toyota in Georgetown, KY offers a 12 month onsite assignment for an Electrical Engineer focused on industrial power distribution and the installation of paint equipment for a new facility. You will coordinate with contractors on site to implement engineered electrical solutions that meet project requirements.

Responsibilities
- Lead work on multiple projects at the new Paint building in Georgetown, collaborating with contractors to install paint equipment.
- Apply industrial electricity practices across power distribution activities.
- Perform breaker size calculations and validate calculations provided by other contractors and vendors.
- Review 2D electrical drawings to ensure alignment with project specs.
- Conduct installations and work with familiarity of fpa codes.
- Emphasize engineering depth for an Electrical Engineer role rather than a tradesperson electrician profile.
- Leverage industrial power distribution and system design experience to drive solutions.
- Translate building specifications into subsystem and station level power through breakers and feeders.
- Manage 480 V three phase power distribution within a plant setting.
- Provide recommendations on the number of distribution panels and breakers required for the system.
- Understand rectifiers that alter amperage and voltage; DC voltage knowledge is a benefit.
- Recognize how electrical considerations relate to paint processes, including grounding implications for application.
- This is a completely onsite role requiring a local candidate, with openness to non local resumes.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering, Technical Trader Certification, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years in project management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Experience in bid specification development and contractor negotiation.
- 2+ years of technical drawing experience.
- 2+ years in industrial power distribution and system design.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 79.
