Electrical Engineer (Automation/ Manufacturing)
Job Description
Electrical Engineer specializing in industrial automation based in Katy, TX (onsite), offering a salary range of USD 65,000 - 75,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical control systems for automated manufacturing equipment
- Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMIs
- Integrate sensors, motors, drives, and robotic systems into production lines
- Support installation, commissioning, and startup of automation systems
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues on the production floor
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, technicians, and production teams
- Ensure compliance with safety standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, OSHA)
- Optimize system performance, reduce downtime, and improve efficiency
- Maintain documentation including BOMs, drawings, and technical reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in industrial automation or manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of control systems, industrial power, and automation technologies
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms), required
