Job Description
AMEWAS, Inc. offers a collaborative, on site environment at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD to support the Integrated Combat Environment. This Junior Electrical Engineer (EWISTL) role provides a salary range of USD 82,500 to 100,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package designed to support health, finances, and ongoing professional development.
Location: On site in Patuxent River, Maryland. Salary: USD 82,500 - 100,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Works alongside a team of electrical engineers and engineering technicians to develop engineering procedures and controls
- Manages project efforts and takes the lead in problem resolution
- Interfaces with program contractors, vendors and government representatives regarding the technical aspects of engineering projects, including test scheduling, planning and conducting tests
- Troubleshoots, prepares for testing and uses a sophisticated state-of-the-art RF stimulator
- Identifies system malfunctions and works to resolve the issues with other teammates
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering; degrees in Physics, Mathematics or other engineering fields may qualify
- Degree obtained from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Experience with active and passive RF components
- Experience using electronic test equipment (signal generators, network and spectrum analyzers, RF amplifiers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
- Willing to obtain and process full clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills
- Experience with MATLAB
- Strong understanding of RF Theory
- Experience with RF stimulators or simulators
- Completed coursework in Radio Frequency engineering
