Electronic Security Systems Engineer
Job Description
Integrated Security Solutions Inc seeks an experienced Electronic Security Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and manage DoD IA security architectures for critical infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and/or integrate a DoD IA architecture, system, or component for use within computing and network environments.
- Analyze customer information, required formats, cost constraints, and security restrictions to determine the best solution for applications.
- Recommend leveraging existing systems and equipment when applicable, and design new integrated security systems when required.
- Develop documentation packages and partner with operations to plan and support system installation.
- Direct, review, and approve product design and changes.
- Provide cost estimates for customer provided specifications and/or drawings for project proposals.
- Offer technical expertise in developing test procedures to monitor equipment performance and ensure system conformance with specifications.
- Consult with the Engineering Manager and the Project Management Team on project status, proposals, and technical issues such as software design and maintenance.
- Prepare reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, and status updates.
- Confer with customer representatives, vendors, company management and staff to establish technical specifications and determine subject material to be developed for publication.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, with occasional travel required (approximately 30%).
Requirements
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the electronic security systems field.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
- U.S. Professional Engineers certification or Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
- Experience with AutoCAD, reading and interpreting drawings, and extensive experience in assembly and organization of drawing packages.
- Ability to prepare engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Project, Visio, and Teams.
- Federal contracting experience preferred.
- Ability to identify complex problems and review information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Ability to identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance relative to system goals.
- Capability to produce results within tight deadlines.
- Uses relevant information and judgment to determine compliance with laws, regulations, or standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Secret Clearance preferred or the ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance.
