Embedded Software Engineer
Job Description
Embedded Software Engineer role in Lockheed Martin's F-35 Vehicle Systems Software group, onsite in Fort Worth, TX.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality embedded applications that enable the F-35 to operate safely and effectively.
- Design, implement, and test C++ embedded software for the Vehicle Management Computer within an Agile workflow.
- Apply object oriented programming principles and safety critical development standards throughout the lifecycle.
- Perform unit testing using the LDRA tool and maintain required coverage and traceability.
- Collaborate with cross functional engineers, participate in Scrum ceremonies, and contribute to continuous integration pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with configuration management, documentation, and certification requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Experience with object oriented programming language (C++) and object oriented design techniques
- Experience with embedded software systems
- Experience with safety critical software development processes (eg DO-178C)
- LDRA C++ unit testing skills are highly desirable
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Green Hills software development tools
- Experience with the Rhapsody design tool
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies
- Experience with requirements based CSCI testing
- Knowledge of Python
- Strong work ethic and self motivation
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- U.S. citizenship is required
