Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to tackle complex IC and DoD engineering challenges
- Lead projects and teams in a non-management capacity, guiding technical work and deliverables
- Partner with colleagues to develop new methodologies, tools, and products for deliberate planning and crisis support operations
- Contribute across multiple areas, including:
- Reverse engineering of facilities, hardened structures, infrastructure, equipment, and networks (chemical, biological, nuclear, and utility systems)
- Criticality node identification
- Vulnerability analysis
- System analysis and modeling (cumulative and combined effects)
- High performance computing and multi-physics simulations (CFD, FEM, etc.)
- Damage mechanism propagation and modeling of damage effects
- Equipment fragility and reconstitution analysis
- Materials analysis
- Test and evaluation to verify and validate modeling and engineering capabilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI and CI polygraph eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field; or five years of directly related operational experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum five years of experience designing, installing, maintaining, and/or repairing multiple industrial systems (mechanical, electrical, and/or controls)
- Working knowledge of cooling, heating, ventilation, industrial water, wastewater, power, inert gas, compressed/instrument air, hydraulic, and/or fuel systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to produce technical reports, presentations, and briefings for technical and non-technical audiences
- Travel up to 10% with ability to travel on short notice
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting an engineering or utility department for installations, facilities, or vessels (for example, a ship’s engine room)
- Experience with nuclear, chemical, petrochemical, or manufacturing facilities
- Operational experience in plant processing, including startup, operations, and safety procedures
