Field Engineer
Job Description
The Field Engineer role focuses on scheduling, on-site coordination, and field engineering activities; this is a safety sensitive, onsite position.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate scheduling and work between the alignment team, site management, and all on-site activities.
- Create and maintain a detailed drawings schedule and ensure the latest construction prints are available in the field for alignment personnel.
- Monitor progress of all structural and mechanical alignment work and provide a weekly status report.
- Ensure submission of all technical deliverables (grout releases, final drawing reports, job hazard analyses, daily logs) to the Quality Control Department for sign-off and documentation.
- Review customer and site-management requests and adjust workload accordingly.
- Provide timely responses to Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Adhere to all specifications related to structural and mechanical alignment and follow up on any extra work items.
- Manage issues affecting the alignment group and serve as the primary point of contact with the customer and site management.
- Maintain readiness to work overtime and demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
- Familiarity with AISC and OSHA requirements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.

Physical Demands
- Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Long periods of sitting and/or standing, depending on workload.
