Responsibilities

  • Contribute to designing and implementing data models for the Equifax Workforce Solutions Finance domain within GCP.
  • Help establish strategies, standards, and best practices for data access and integration in GCP.
  • Recommend approaches to increase data utilization based on the data delivery environment.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Security, Data Governance and IT Operations to move key Financial data assets to GCP efficiently.
  • Stay current with the evolving GCP technologies landscape and share knowledge with the team.
  • Support the technology roadmap and architecture discussions, translating business vision into scalable engineering deliverables within an Agile framework.
  • Orchestrate automated data workflows and processes using Python, Spark, Airflow, Jenkins and Astronomer to eliminate manual intervention and boost operating efficiency.
  • Engage in rigorous software development activities, including unit tests and code deployments, and participate in code reviews to maintain codebase health.
  • Research and evaluate emerging data sources and advanced technologies including ML, AI and RPA to enhance the Finance data strategy and outputs.
  • Partner with governance and compliance professionals to ensure ethical and legal use of data assets and maintain precise lineage tracking.
  • Collaborate with IT Centers of Excellence to refine ETL toolsets and drive improvements in cycle time and system performance.
  • Author training materials and lead sessions to educate internal teams on data strategy, operating models, and evolving data capabilities.
  • Deconstruct complex organizational problems into actionable data components to support evidence-based solutions.
  • Triage product or system issues, performing root-cause analysis and implementing short- and long-term resolutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field with strong programming emphasis.
  • 5+ years of experience building, loading, transforming, and analyzing data across database platforms and other data stores.
  • 5+ years of experience in Google Cloud Platform or a similar cloud environment.
  • 5+ years of scripting or coding experience.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, BigQuery, and Airflow or Cloud Composer.
