Job Description

This role sits at the intersection of engineering and customer support at ClickHouse. You will build full-stack systems that route, automate, and improve how customers receive help, with end-to-end production ownership across internal tooling, integrations, and observability.

Working remotely within the United States, you will design systems that connect customers with the teams who serve them, while also using AI-powered experiences to guide next steps and hand off to humans when needed.

What you’ll do

  • Design and build the systems that connect ClickHouse’s customers with Support and other service teams.
  • Develop intelligent routing and decision systems that select where work should go and who should handle it, using many signals at once and adapting as the business scales.
  • Create AI-powered customer experiences that help understand needs, recommend next steps, and transition to human support when appropriate.
  • Build internal platforms and tooling for Support, RevOps, and GTM teams to work faster and more accurately, implemented to production standards.
  • Implement integrations and data flows across Salesforce, live chat, incident management, Slack, GitHub, and more so workflows and data transfer cleanly between systems.
  • Create automation and observability systems to remove repetitive tasks, surface what is breaking, and increase confidence in what teams run.
  • Partner with core Engineering to ship to production and own what you build, including code review, testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

What you bring

  • 3–5 years building and shipping full-stack software in production with tools such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and React (or comparable).
  • Experience building with APIs, webhooks, and integrations between distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience close to support, including experience as a support or technical support engineer, or by building tools or integrations for support, CS, or RevOps teams.
  • Confidence with Git and safe, version-controlled deployment workflows.
  • Ability to translate operational needs into solutions that non-engineers can follow.
  • A shipper’s mindset, including being self-driven and comfortable owning problems end-to-end in a remote, globally distributed team.
  • Comfort using AI tools day to day during development, with a clear sense of where to trust them.

Technologies

  • TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, React
  • APIs, webhooks
  • Git
  • Salesforce, Slack, GitHub

Bonus points

  • Experience building LLM-powered features in production (routing, retrieval, evaluation, or observability).
  • Salesforce platform experience (Apex, LWC, Flows, custom objects) or related certifications, or strong appetite to get up to speed quickly.
  • Experience with support and incident tooling such as Pylon, incident.io, PagerDuty, Zendesk, Slack APIs, or GitHub APIs.
  • Experience with ClickHouse or other analytical databases.
  • Experience in an early-stage or greenfield environment, or working embedded in a support, RevOps, or business-systems function.

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary range: USD 154,000 - 215,000 per year.
  • Employer contributions towards your healthcare.
  • Stock options for every new team member.
  • Flexible time off in the US, with generous entitlement in other countries.
  • Remote home office setup stipend: USD $500.
  • Opportunities to engage with colleagues at company-wide offsites.
