Job Description
Loft Orbital Solutions is seeking an Information Systems Data Engineer to help build a reliable data foundation for business reporting and integration. Based in Golden, CO (onsite), this role focuses on centralizing data in SQL Server, automating ETL from key business systems, and turning those datasets into operational insights through Power BI. You will also contribute to NetSuite customizations and coordinate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and governance.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and maintain a centralized SQL Server database and a data model that connects Loft’s business systems
- Develop and operate Python/SQL ETL pipelines pulling from NetSuite, Arena, ION, Jira, and other sources
- Manage ETL in GitLab with CI/CD and support ongoing operation of the pipelines
- Create Power BI dashboards and reports to track operational performance and KPIs
- Support NetSuite customizations, including SuiteScripts, workflows, and saved searches
- Work with Operations, Finance, Engineering, and IT to gather requirements and deliver integrations and tooling
- Document systems and data flows, and reinforce data quality, governance, and change control
What you bring
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, business systems, or a related technical role
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data processing
- Hands-on experience with GitLab and CI/CD
- Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines
- Strong SQL skills including relational database design and management
- Ability to communicate clearly and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience

Compensation
Salary: USD 90,000 - 130,000 per year.
