Junior Software Engineer

VOCAL Technologies Inc. is hiring a Junior Software Engineer in Buffalo, NY for in-person work. In this role, you will help develop software solutions focused on telecommunications challenges, including building and sustaining software and supporting tools.

This position supports the full lifecycle of technical delivery, from understanding what customers need to delivering maintainable software modules and enhancing existing solutions. You will also contribute to software tooling that improves code building and maintenance.

Role and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to deliver solutions that meet and exceed their needs.
• Design and implement software solutions for telecommunications problems.
• Maintain and improve existing software solutions.
• Code and test software modules of significant size and complexity.
• Create software tools to aid in code building and maintenance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (Required) degree.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
• Familiarity with C/C++ programming languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with C/C++ programming.
• Experience with Embedded Systems.
• Experience capturing and debugging network traffic.
• Experience with Real Time Operating Systems.
• Experience with Digital Signal Processing algorithms.
