Licensed Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Cordogan Clark is hiring an experienced, licensed Electrical Engineer for its St. Louis, MO office. This onsite role focuses on developing and coordinating MEP electrical systems while working closely with architects and project teams through design, documentation, and construction support. In addition to hands-on project collaboration, you’ll mentor junior staff and help resolve field and design issues across the lifecycle of the work.
Salary: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Architects and project teams to develop integrated MEP system designs.
- Prepare and review electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and sustainable design practices.
- Perform site visits, surveys, and construction administration support.
- Provide technical expertise during design and construction phases.
- Coordinate with consultants and contractors to resolve field and design issues.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience in building systems electrical engineering design, including demonstrated experience designing multiple and complex projects.
- Licensed professional engineer registered in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and/or Missouri, or the capability of becoming registered in each state.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and applicable analysis software.
- Solid knowledge of building codes, energy codes, and design standards.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a design firm or architecture-integrated practice is strongly preferred.
