Lighting Design Engineer (Power Distribution) 200425

Responsibilities

The role involves engaging with the public to discuss lighting needs aligned with company standards and requirements. You will conduct site visits to assess lighting demands for residential properties, commercial establishments, and subdivisions. The position requires identifying and verifying utility infrastructure, and designing outdoor lighting plans that satisfy customer needs while staying within established guidelines. Effective communication with clients, customers, crews, and other agencies is essential. The work mix includes days in the field and days in the office for design work, with a need to manage schedules to maintain balance. Onsite duties include considerable walking, carrying equipment, staking poles, and flagging routes. Strong ability to acknowledge and resolve customer complaints is essential.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent required
• Associates or Bachelors in Engineering preferred
• Experience in Electrical systems: 1 year preferred
• MicroStation: 1 year preferred
• Poleforeman: 1 year required
• Power Distribution: 1 year required
• BOUD: 1 year required
• Work Location: In person
