Position summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer to partner with design, development, and DevOps teams in building innovative solutions for AVB Marketing clients’ eCommerce needs. The role encompasses developing, testing, troubleshooting, and deploying web applications while delivering reliable user experiences. The ideal candidate focuses on high quality, maintainable software and contributes to a collaborative, outcomes-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the full software lifecycle: design, implement, test, and fix defects
- Diagnose and troubleshoot code issues and apply fixes
- Collaborate with development and design teams to create functional, user-friendly applications
- Partner with DevOps and IT to design deployment procedures and take ownership of successful rollouts
- Produce clean, maintainable code for new or existing web applications
- Develop solutions in alignment with enterprise architecture, processes, and protocols
Requirements
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in developing PHP applications
- Deep knowledge of PHP and Magento
- Experience with AWS Lambda, EC2, 53, and RDS
- Familiarity with MVC architecture and RESTful API development
- Understanding of optimized web server configurations and scaling on AWS
- Ability to implement security best practices for PHP applications
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in AWS cloud environments
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on PHP development experience
- Experience with MySQL Server and SQL
- Experience in an Agile SCRUM environment
- DevOps exposure and experience setting up CI/CD pipelines
- AWS certifications are a plus

Remote work and travel
