Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer role at HunterLab, Inc. is responsible for strengthening and supporting the electrical systems used in precision instruments, with a focus on delivering reliable, production-ready outcomes. This onsite position in Reston, VA emphasizes PCB-related work, troubleshooting, and collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Role Focus

Support and improve HunterLab’s electrical systems through work spanning PCB design, circuit troubleshooting, and electrical system integration. The role also contributes to automation and process optimization efforts to improve quality and efficiency during manufacturing and product launch activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and improve manufacturing processes to enhance both quality and efficiency.
• Assist product launches by supporting tooling needs, layout work, and documentation deliverables.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and calibration issues to resolve electrical and system-level problems.
• Collaborate with teams on automation and process optimization projects.
• Draft SOPs, manage BOMs, and support continuous improvement activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional teams involved in production readiness.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical engineering background.
• Hands-on experience with PCB design, circuit troubleshooting, and electrical system integration.
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or product support environment (2+ years).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in PCB Design, circuit troubleshooting, and electronic test equipment.
• Experience with 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and ERP/QMS systems.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Compensation and Work Location

Salary: USD 75,000 per year.
