Job Description
Belcan is offering a full-time, direct-hire Material Review Board Engineer role in Charleston, SC, onsite. This position carries a salary range of USD 90,000 to 180,000 per year and an environment that prioritizes mentorship, collaboration, and career growth. The role focuses on reviewing fuselage, nacelle, and pylon discrepancies to determine acceptability or repairability, with responsibilities that include training and mentoring engineers and facilitating MRB certification.

Responsibilities
- Formulate, analyze, substantiate, and document dispositions for production non-conformances within the boundaries of Federal Aviation Regulations and OEM delegated requirements
- Liaison with other teams as required and interact with OEM customers
- Maintain strong communication with internal project team and customer
- Provides functional guidance to less experienced staff and act in a technical leadership capacity
- Helps solve problems that would affect cost, schedule, and performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Aeronautical, Astronautical, Chemical or Aerospace Engineering
- 2 or more years of experience performing engineering tasks
- Understanding of structural load paths and failure modes
- Static and fatigue analysis experience
- Legal authorization to work in the US required
- Familiarity with composite repair and rework methodologies preferred
- Understanding of aircraft structures analysis, manufacturing processes, and materials
