Job Description
Electric Power Systems Inc seeks a Mid-Level or Senior Controls System Engineer to design, specify, and implement industrial control systems, including PLC and HMI development, with field commissioning and client-relations responsibilities. This onsite role is based in Olympia, WA or Vancouver, WA, and does not support remote work.
Location and Compensation
Locations: Olympia, WA or Vancouver, WA (onsite)
Compensation: USD 80,000 - 180,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Design, specify, and implement industrial control systems using PLC and HMI software.
- Lead field commissioning, construction inspection, quality control, and coordinate with engineers and electricians throughout the design and implementation process.
- Operate in field conditions to troubleshoot and perform corrective actions as needed.
- Experience defining project budgets and schedules and monitoring progress against plans is highly desirable.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships as part of project execution.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in automated control system integration (required)
- Setup and maintain industrial communication protocols including OPC, Modbus TCP/RTU, DNP3.0, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, and DeviceNet (required)
- Experience with Windows PC Operating Systems, Windows Server Operating Systems, and virtual machines (VMs) (required)
- Knowledge of networking and firewall/router configuration (required)
- 10+ years of experience in automated control system integration (required)
- Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition (required)
- Experience with SCADA historian and database setup, configuration, and related database control aspects in industrial applications (required)
