Municipal Engineer

Artheon is seeking a Municipal Engineer to join its Barnegat, NJ on-site team. This role concentrates on land development, infrastructure design, and municipal engineering, with collaboration across project managers, surveyors, and multiple engineering disciplines to deliver solutions that fit client needs. It offers a practical path for an early-career civil engineer to contribute design work and permitting activities within a municipal context.

Responsibilities

• Create civil design drawings for site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways using CAD tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare permit applications and submit them to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, surveyors, and other engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions tailored to client requirements.
• Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and calculations to support design decisions and project milestones.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of civil engineering design experience, with a preference for land development or municipal projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software; familiarity with stormwater management software is advantageous.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license is beneficial or candidates should be willing to pursue it.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with solid communication skills and effective teamwork.
