Responsibilities
- Deliver structural engineering services that meet Worley, client, and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
- Initiate, manage and supervise project requirements as needed.
- Participate in relevant meetings and prepare progress reports.
- Follow required checking procedures and ensure the project scope is clear, with changes compliant to change management processes.
- Write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations, and issue purchase orders.
- Support procurement, construction, and commissioning activities; lead structural engineering on selected projects when required.
- Outline project requirements, promote workshare where appropriate, assign tasks, and supervise progress.
- Ensure services meet Worley, client, and regulatory requirements on time and within budget; proactively resolve discrepancies.
- Stay current with developments and innovations in structural engineering, and mentor junior personnel when needed.
- Communicate effectively with the structural engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer; identify issues and develop solutions, seeking assistance when required.
Requirements
- Strong technical and practical engineering skills with a track record of delivering quality, accurate, timely work for Worley and its customers.
- Solid understanding of fundamental structural engineering principles and the basics of other engineering disciplines.
- Knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory/regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with structural software such as STAAD and Foundation3D.
- Competent use of MS Office Suite, Navisworks, and Point Cloud Manager.
- Substantial structural engineering experience in downstream manufacturing or similar industries, including work on multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card and pass background checks.
- Civil Engineering degree.
- Professional Engineer license (preferred).
- NCEES record (preferred).
