Responsibilities

Deliver structural engineering services that meet Worley, client, and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
Initiate, manage and supervise project requirements as needed.
Participate in relevant meetings and prepare progress reports.
Follow required checking procedures and ensure the project scope is clear, with changes compliant to change management processes.
Write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations, and issue purchase orders.
Support procurement, construction, and commissioning activities; lead structural engineering on selected projects when required.
Outline project requirements, promote workshare where appropriate, assign tasks, and supervise progress.
Ensure services meet Worley, client, and regulatory requirements on time and within budget; proactively resolve discrepancies.
Stay current with developments and innovations in structural engineering, and mentor junior personnel when needed.
Communicate effectively with the structural engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer; identify issues and develop solutions, seeking assistance when required.

Requirements

Strong technical and practical engineering skills with a track record of delivering quality, accurate, timely work for Worley and its customers.
Solid understanding of fundamental structural engineering principles and the basics of other engineering disciplines.
Knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory/regulatory requirements.
Proficiency with structural software such as STAAD and Foundation3D.
Competent use of MS Office Suite, Navisworks, and Point Cloud Manager.
Substantial structural engineering experience in downstream manufacturing or similar industries, including work on multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card and pass background checks.
Civil Engineering degree.
Professional Engineer license (preferred).
NCEES record (preferred).

Job Description

Senior Facilities Infrastructure Engineer in Austin, TX (onsite) responsible for designing, constructing, and commissioning the physical environment for a 2nm-class semiconductor fab, including UPW, bulk gas, chemical distribution, vibration isolation, and environmental control.

Responsibilities

Lead design and specification of fab environments and infrastructure to push industry norms and optimize speed and outcomes
Own the technical scope for critical utility systems: UPW, process gases, chemical distribution, exhaust treatment, and waste systems
Collaborate with construction management teams and equipment vendors to develop and execute facility build plans
Establish environmental monitoring systems including AMC, vibration, temperature, humidity, and particle counts
Define commissioning and qualification protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) for all critical facility systems
Develop facility capacity models to support tool installation schedules and production ramp planning
Identify and mitigate facility level single points of failure and related risks
Coordinate permitting, EHS compliance, and regulatory requirements with local and state agencies

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
8+ years of semiconductor facility engineering experience, including cleanroom design and construction
Deep expertise in at least two critical utility areas: UPW, process gases, HVAC/ECS, chemical distribution, or exhaust/abatement
Experience managing large capital projects ($100M+) from concept through commissioning
Familiarity with SMIF/FOUP-based automation and overhead transport (OHT) infrastructure requirements
Strong understanding of vibration isolation requirements for advanced lithography tools (EUV-class)
Experience with a greenfield fab build at 300mm
Familiarity with SEMI S2/S8 safety standards and AHJ requirements in Texas
Experience with BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks) for facility coordination
Background in sustainability and energy efficiency for large-scale manufacturing facilities

Job Description

Electrical Prefabrication Project Engineer oversees the prefabrication and preassembly of electrical systems, coordinating with BIM/VDC and project teams to deliver on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Responsibilities

Directs all prefabrication and preassembly activities for electrical systems.
Guarantees projects meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
Partners with department leaders, project managers, superintendents, and BIM/VDC teams to optimize fabrication workflows and ensure installations comply with specifications, B&I standards, and building codes.
Lead the Electrical shop crew, coordinating activities to maintain safe, productive operations.
Collaborate with BIM/VDC teams to deliver precise drawings and fabrication-ready specifications.
Evaluate submittals to confirm equipment, fixtures, and materials meet project requirements, and relay feedback to PMs and VDC teams.
Review architectural, civil, and structural drawings to verify space and elevation adequacy for MEP systems and resolve clashes.
Procure materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to support production timelines.
Perform field visits to review shop drawings with installation crews and collect feedback for improvement.
Assess performance of shop foremen and staff, provide coaching and training to sustain productivity, and conduct timely performance reviews.
Apply and monitor Lean manufacturing practices to drive continuous process improvement and waste reduction.
Coordinate with other trades to prevent conflicts and maintain smooth workflow.
Prioritize safety by enforcing company policies and OSHA regulations in the shop.
Contribute to the development of relevant KPIs.
Maintain KPI Core Value boards with regular updates focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
Provide mentorship to develop future Electrical Managers, BIM/VDC Spoolers, and shop leaders.
Develop standard operating procedures, train the team on them, and ensure accountability for SOP compliance.
This position requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
