Professional Engineer

609 Consulting, LLC seeks a on-site Civil Engineer to operate in Sheridan, Wyoming. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minimum of one year of civil design experience, with responsibilities spanning civil design, site development, permitting review for Oil and Gas projects, and project management.

Overview

The position focuses on delivering civil design and site development solutions for Oil and Gas developments, managing projects from inception through completion, and ensuring adherence to permitting requirements and efficient project workflows.

Responsibilities

• Civil engineering design for well pads, roads, and pipeline alignments.
• Comprehensive site design tasks including surveying, grading, drainage, stormwater management, water distribution and sewer collection, erosion control, SWPPP reporting, and construction cost estimation.
• Review permitting documents for Oil and Gas projects to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain organized file structures and consistent naming conventions.
• Manage projects from start to finish, coordinating tasks and timelines.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a project team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering from an ABET or NAAB accredited school.
• Minimum of one year of experience in civil design.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred).

Experience

• Experience with Oil and Gas related civil design projects preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD or comparable Civil Survey design software preferred.
• Experience in preparing basemaps, design drawings, plans, specifications, technical correspondence, and written reports preferred.
• Knowledge of construction and surveying is a plus.
• GIS experience is a plus.
