Job Description

A Fall 2026 Quality Engineering Co‑Op in Colorado Springs focuses on quality improvement, data analysis, root‑cause investigations, and process validation within a high‑precision injection molding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Quality support and continuous improvement activities across injection molded products and processes
  • Assist in developing and executing quality improvement projects for molded parts and processes
  • Perform capability studies (Cp/Cpk), MSA, SPC charting, and other statistical analyses to monitor and elevate process performance
  • Support creation and revision of PFMEAs, Control Plans, and other quality documentation
  • Inspection and data analysis: conduct dimensional inspection using calipers, micrometers, optical measurement systems, and CMMs (as trained)
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends, anomalies, or opportunities for improvement
  • Support incoming, in‑process, and final inspection activities, including measurement method validation
  • Participate in root cause investigations for nonconforming material and customer complaints
  • Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and document findings using structured problem‑solving methodologies (8D, 5‑Why, Fishbone, etc.)
  • Assist with process validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new molds, tooling changes, or process updates
  • Maintain accurate documentation per ISO 9001 and Entegris Quality Management System requirements
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality requirements are understood and met on the production floor

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and interest in data‑driven problem solving
  • Ability to work independently and in a cross‑functional environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with data analysis software is a plus
  • Currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) beginning in June through December
  • Familiarity with the university's requirements to participate in a co‑op program
  • Entegris is not sponsoring H1‑B visas for co‑ops/internships now or in the future
  • Mechanical Engineering, graduating December 2026 or later
  • Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field will be considered

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and wear PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, gowns, hairnets, or other required attire
  • Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods while performing computer‑based work or data analysis
  • Ability to stand, walk, or move between work areas as needed
  • Ability to move safely around manufacturing equipment, production floors, and tooling areas
  • Ability to hear alarms, signals, or communicate clearly in a manufacturing environment (with or without accommodation)
  • Manual dexterity to handle small components, operate measurement equipment, and use hand tools

Work Location

  • Colorado Springs, CO (onsite)

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
