RF / Microwave Design Engineer
Job Description
In San Diego, CA (onsite), this RF and Microwave Design role focuses on improving production performance and supporting new or custom product development.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management and sales to develop new designs that expand product lines
- Own design work for new ideas, including implementation for product development
- Investigate production issues by performing visual analysis with a microscope
- Conduct detailed electrical testing to support failure analysis and consult with engineering staff
- Draft and review engineering drawings using AutoCAD and LabView
- Manage product change documentation through the engineering change notice procedure
- Test, tune, and debug established products
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, RF Engineering, or a related field
- Strong understanding of RF principles
- Experience with LabView
- 2-3 years of experience designing and/or testing RF/Microwave subsystems
- Experience with VCOs and PLLs (plus)
