RF / Microwave Design Engineer

In San Diego, CA (onsite), this RF and Microwave Design role focuses on improving production performance and supporting new or custom product development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management and sales to develop new designs that expand product lines
• Own design work for new ideas, including implementation for product development
• Investigate production issues by performing visual analysis with a microscope
• Conduct detailed electrical testing to support failure analysis and consult with engineering staff
• Draft and review engineering drawings using AutoCAD and LabView
• Manage product change documentation through the engineering change notice procedure
• Test, tune, and debug established products

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, RF Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of RF principles
• Experience with LabView
• 2-3 years of experience designing and/or testing RF/Microwave subsystems
• Experience with VCOs and PLLs (plus)
