Sales Application Engineer II

The Sales Application Engineer II provides engineering support to Nortek Air Solutions' nationwide representative network, with a focus on air handling unit design, performance, pricing, and the preparation of submittals and documentation to secure orders. This onsite role is based in Okarche, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

• Deliver air handling unit design, performance guidance, and pricing assistance to the sales reps.
• Integrate factory best practices with custom air unit designs to create comprehensive equipment solutions.
• Assist with specification review and, when needed, propose alternative recommendations.
• Generate factory pricing based on specifications, selections, and input from representatives.
• Produce submittal documentation for approval by the mechanical engineer and fabrication teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience reviewing blueprints and technical documents, with the ability to interpret details from prints and drawings.
• Proven ability to guide and provide technical direction to colleagues, representatives, and customers.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to convey technical information internally and to customers externally.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively in a timeline-driven environment.
• Independent analysis and judgment to resolve non-standard problems using prior experience and company policies.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (DAX) or similar MRP/ERP systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other 3D applications.
