Senior Civil Engineer
Job Description
Senior Civil Engineer opportunity at Furtado & Associates, Inc., in Seattle, WA with hybrid work arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Lead project deliverables to ensure alignment with client expectations and schedules
- Coordinate continuously with Engineering staff and other departments
- Review and process drawings and submittals for accuracy and compliance
- Evaluate plans and specifications to confirm quality and feasibility
- Perform engineering calculations and contribute to design development
- Assist in drafting and refining project specifications
- Prepare engineering and technical documents for submission
- Develop construction plans using CAD tools
- Support the creation of exhibits for public meetings
- Research and apply agency standards and guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- EIT or WA State PE certification
- Six or more years of civil engineering experience
- Highly motivated and dependable candidate
- Fundamental knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint
- Ability to quickly learn additional supporting software
- Solid understanding of engineering, land surveying, or construction concepts
- Self-motivated, able to perform in a fast-paced environment and deliver timely results
