Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts and BOMs for custom automated electroplating and other wet processing equipment.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering on sensor and motor selection and process control architecture.
• Partner with controls engineering to leverage current automation products and techniques.

Requirements

• B.S.E.E. degree
• Minimum 6 years of experience designing industrial electrical control systems
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Experience with PLCs, distributed I/O, and Ethernet industrial control networking
• Experience with SCCR and Short Circuit Current Analysis
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79 (Industrial Machinery), and UL 508A (Industrial Control Panels)
• Ability and willingness to mentor entry-level engineers

The Role

Technic, a world leader in surface finishing technology, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer for the Equipment Division in Pawtucket, RI. This role offers the chance to contribute to advanced automated surface finishing systems.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work with a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical and controls engineers, sales professionals, and production supervisors to shepherd projects from concept through design and fabrication, oversee factory-floor testing, and support field installation teams. The Technic Equipment Division designs, fabricates, and assembles highly customized electroplating and other wet-processing systems, many of which are automated and can exceed a hundred feet in length.
