Job Description
Senior Electrical Engineer role at D-Riven Engineered Solutions in Canton, MI (onsite).
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to create detailed schematics and layouts.
- Develop and validate FPGA-based solutions utilizing SystemVerilog, VHDL, and simulation tools like Simulink and MATLAB.
- Perform root cause analysis on electrical issues within complex systems, troubleshooting hardware and firmware components efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate PCB designs with SMT components and mechanical enclosures.
- Manage project schedules ensuring timely delivery of system design milestones while coordinating with manufacturing teams for seamless production.
- Conduct signal processing analysis and develop firmware using C++, Python, Perl, and scripting languages for automation and system control.
- Oversee debugging processes involving oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, soldering techniques, vision inspection systems, and other diagnostic tools to ensure quality standards are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with relevant electrical experience.
- Proven expertise in FPGA development, SystemVerilog coding, PCB design, and schematic creation.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including NEC standards and manufacturing processes such as SMT.
- Experience with project scheduling software to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks for system layout; MATLAB and Simulink for simulation; Python or Perl for scripting automation.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ARM microcontrollers, Arduino platforms, firmware development, debugging techniques, and vision inspection systems.
- Mechanical knowledge related to system design integration is a plus; ability to interpret mechanical drawings using Revit or MicroStation is advantageous.

- Do you have 10+ years of combined experience in electrical engineering, industrial electrical installation or maintenance or equivalent field?
- Experience in operating aerial lifts, forklifts and other powered equipment?
- Do you hold a Master Electrician certificate and associated journeyman electrician license?
- Are you willing to travel frequently (60-80%) for extended periods of time (2-3 weeks) and complete work nationwide?
