Job Description
This onsite role in Waukesha, Wisconsin focuses on leading electrical design for transformer products, guiding engineering efforts from concept through production to address complex challenges. The position offers a base salary of USD 100,000 per year and requires a disciplined, collaborative approach to delivering robust, manufacturable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee electrical design for new transformer products and enhancements to existing lines
- Resolve complex engineering challenges and provide practical, high impact solutions within project timelines
- Assess designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost targets
- Translate customer specifications and applicable industry standards into clear design guidance
- Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, quality, and applications engineering teams
- Support new product introductions and streamline designs for efficient production
- Maintain precise design and process documentation to ensure traceability
- Mentor junior engineers and act as a technical resource across cross-functional teams
- Contribute to ongoing improvements of design processes and supporting systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5 to 8+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong foundation in electrical design, testing methodologies, and product technology
- Working knowledge of heat transfer, magnetics, dielectrics, and materials science
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work cross-functionally and guide non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and collaborative spirit
