Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Distribution and Generation

This onsite role in Waukesha, Wisconsin focuses on leading electrical design for transformer products, guiding engineering efforts from concept through production to address complex challenges. The position offers a base salary of USD 100,000 per year and requires a disciplined, collaborative approach to delivering robust, manufacturable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical design for new transformer products and enhancements to existing lines
• Resolve complex engineering challenges and provide practical, high impact solutions within project timelines
• Assess designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost targets
• Translate customer specifications and applicable industry standards into clear design guidance
• Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, quality, and applications engineering teams
• Support new product introductions and streamline designs for efficient production
• Maintain precise design and process documentation to ensure traceability
• Mentor junior engineers and act as a technical resource across cross-functional teams
• Contribute to ongoing improvements of design processes and supporting systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 5 to 8+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong foundation in electrical design, testing methodologies, and product technology
• Working knowledge of heat transfer, magnetics, dielectrics, and materials science
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work cross-functionally and guide non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and collaborative spirit
