Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – CTU BOP Systems

Jereh North American Group is expanding its Coiled Tubing Unit (CTU) pressure-control portfolio and is in search of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development and refinement of CTU BOP equipment. The position is based onsite in Houston, TX, and requires direct OEM experience with CTU BOP systems to drive design improvements for high-pressure, cyclic well intervention operations.

Responsibilities

• Steer the mechanical design and ongoing enhancements of CTU BOP systems
• Develop and refine stripper packers, elastomer sealing systems, and pressure-containing components
• Devise robust solutions for high-pressure, cyclic CTU operation scenarios
• Perform root-cause investigations into CTU BOP field failures
• Apply permanent design corrections based on field data and failure analysis
• Enhance sealing durability and overall product performance under real operating conditions
• Execute structural and sealing-related calculations
• Conduct linear and nonlinear finite element analyses, including contact stress, fatigue, and pressure loading
• Assess material behavior in pressure-control applications
• Support validation testing and qualification programs
• Ensure designs comply with API standards applicable to CTU pressure-control equipment
• Prepare engineering documentation for internal and customer reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of direct mechanical design experience with CTU BOP systems or CTU pressure-control equipment
• Experience designing stripper packers and sealing assemblies
• Working knowledge of API standards applicable to CTU pressure-control systems
• Proficiency with 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
• Experience performing engineering calculations and validation

This role focuses exclusively on CTU BOP equipment, including stripper packers, sealing assemblies, and pressure-containing components used in high-pressure, cyclic well intervention operations. This position does not focus on drilling BOP systems. Direct CTU pressure-control product design experience is required.
