Senior Product Manager - Commercial & Contract Management, Construction & Engineering
Job Description
Join IFS Construction & Engineering and help shape how construction and engineering organizations manage contracts, procurement, subcontract commitments, commercial risk, project change, and financial outcomes across the full project lifecycle. This role combines product strategy with measurable customer impact, including opportunities to apply AI-driven innovation to accelerate discovery and improve trusted decision support in commercial management.
At IFS, you will work within a global enterprise software environment serving customers who manufacture and distribute goods, build and maintain assets, and run service-focused operations. With 7,000+ employees and a growing partner ecosystem supporting 10,000+ customers worldwide, this is a chance to contribute to an industry-recognized platform and help customers move beyond isolated features toward a cohesive end-to-end commercial management experience.
What you will do
- Define and communicate the vision and strategy for Commercial & Contract Management across IFS Construction & Engineering.
- Establish a differentiated market position across contract management, procurement, subcontract management, and commercial controls.
- Translate customer feedback, market trends, industry insight, and competitive intelligence into focused product investments.
- Own and evolve a roadmap balancing innovation, architectural modernization, adoption, customer retention, and commercial growth.
- Drive cross-domain alignment across project management, project controls, procurement, finance, project accounting, risk management, and document management.
- Engage directly with construction and engineering customers to understand commercial processes, procurement workflows, contractual risk, and operating models.
- Validate customer problems and product opportunities before committing investment, and build trusted relationships with customers, partners, and industry experts.
- Set up lighthouse customers and design partners for discovery, prototyping, validation, and early adoption.
- Ensure product strategy is grounded in measurable customer outcomes and business value, owning specifications for user workflows, acceptance criteria, and success measures.
- Lead functional prototyping and validate solutions with real users before development, working closely with engineering and design as part of a high-performing product triad.
- Apply systems thinking across contracts, procurement, project execution, change management, cost control, revenue management, and commercial risk.
- Build investment cases with clear customer, strategic, and financial outcomes, and partner to move from validated problem to adopted product.
- Support go-to-market activities including positioning, enablement, launch planning, and customer engagement, and represent the product area with customers, prospects, partners, analysts, and internal stakeholders.
- Measure success through customer outcomes, adoption, retention, revenue influence, and commercial impact.
You will also focus on AI-enabled capabilities across procurement, supplier management, contract administration, obligation management, commercial risk, and contract change management, using AI to accelerate discovery, research, prototyping, and product definition while ensuring outcomes are tangible and decision support is trusted. Finally, you will own the end-to-end problem-to-outcome journey and support strengthening subcontract-management capabilities alongside a broader commercial management framework connecting contracts, procurement, supplier commitments, contract changes, and project financial outcomes.
