Job Description

Based in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, this Senior Software Engineer role sits within Lockheed Martin’s RMS organization, focusing on software development for RF systems, software-defined radios, digital signal processing, and waveform processing with integration and test conducted in an agile environment. A Top Secret clearance is required to perform the duties, reflecting the mission-critical nature of the work.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Strategic Spectrum Solutions by delivering software solutions to complex, mission-critical challenges across defense-focused domains.
  • Develop tactical software capabilities for software defined radio, DSP, constellation simulation, and command-and-control software to support dynamic warfighter requirements.
  • Integrate open and modular hardware and software components within RF system environments.
  • Create software to enable integration and control of waveform processing applications.
  • Provide support for Integration & Test (I&T) to diagnose and resolve software defects, performance concerns, and integration obstacles.
  • Collaborate with system engineers to ensure alignment of software development with architecture, requirements, and thorough testing and validation activities.
  • Maintain and extend the current software stack, including C++, Linux scripting, and Qt GUI development, with Git for configuration management.
  • Participate in daily scrums and other agile ceremonies to track progress and adjust priorities.
  • Work with Product Owner, Software Architect, and Chief Engineer to support customer design reviews and milestone events.

Requirements

  • Security Clearance required prior to start: Top Secret
  • Experience developing full stack software using object-oriented programming
  • Familiarity with modern DevSecOps tools and practices, including GitLab CI/CD
  • Proficiency in designing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and basic system administration (emphasis on RHEL)
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and domains in a fast-paced, Agile development environment
