Senior Software Engineer
Job Description
Versagility Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build next generation mission planning software for Naval aviation. This role is 100% remote within the United States, with work aligned to Eastern or Central Standard time zones, and it supports development across a multi-team, multi-organization enterprise using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
The work focuses on delivering scalable backend services and user-facing experiences, with an emphasis on end-to-end quality through testing. You will also take product ownership while expanding system capabilities as new capability requests are allocated each planning interval.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to software development as part of a multi-team, multi-organization enterprise organized around SAFe.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable services using ASP .NET Core Web API.
- Collaborate with other developers to design and implement user interfaces using React JS.
- Develop end-to-end tests to validate acceptance criteria tied to UI/UX.
- Grow skills to provide flexibility across teams as new capabilities are assigned during planning intervals.
- Take ownership and responsibility for the software products being developed.
- Build domain knowledge and provide technical guidance to software and test engineers.
- Work with the team to improve the user experience and expand system capabilities.
- Support product documentation, user training materials, and team meeting materials as needed.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline plus 10 years of experience, or Master’s degree plus 8 years of experience.
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance within 6-9 months of the hire date.
- Experience with microservice architectures.
- Design and development using C# / ASP.NET Core Web API.
- PostgreSQL Database Management System.
- ReactJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Unit test frameworks including xUnit, MSTest, Moq, and NSubstitute.
- API test frameworks including RobotFramework.
- Automated UI testing using Cypress.
- Experience with Kubernetes/Helm, Docker, and Liquibase.
- Ability to work effectively with a geographically distributed team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong critical thinking capabilities.

Compensation: USD 145,254 - 157,348 per year. Minimum experience: 10 years. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
