Job Description

Software Engineer to join the Host-side Software Development Team at Advanced Motion Controls, building software solutions and supporting system integration for embedded servo products and motion systems in line with the company SDLC.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality software through careful coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting
  • Produce clean, maintainable code that fits the release cycles and team standards
  • Implement features and fixes on predictable schedules with clear communication and balanced tradeoffs between scope and quality
  • Follow established programming standards to generate readable, efficient logic and reliable data handling
  • Adhere to and continually improve our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues quickly and effectively
  • Plan and execute verification and validation testing
  • Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

  • At least five years of software development experience
  • Proven experience in coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting software
  • Working knowledge of object oriented development
  • Proficiency in C++ (preferably on Windows) and/or .NET/C# development
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field

Salary

Salary: USD 110,000–125,000 per year

Other requirements

  • Occasionally or frequently stand, walk, sit, use both hands, and carry or lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs
  • ITAR registered; hired candidate must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
  • Full-time, on-site role at the Camarillo, CA facility; Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with additional hours/days as required
