Job Description

Software Engineer role at Home Depot / THD in Austin, TX (remote) with a salary range of USD 50,000 - 130,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the full software lifecycle by designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining applications; follows internal standards and participates in continuous improvement discussions; supports the team's goals even in challenging conditions.
  • Gains knowledge through successful and unsuccessful experiments when addressing new problems; pursues growth through formal and informal development channels.
  • Builds partnerships and collaborates across teams to achieve shared objectives; participates in agile processes and communicates openly with diverse groups.

Working Conditions

  • Located in a comfortable indoor environment; infrequent unpleasant conditions.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in writing and debugging complex SQL using Microsoft T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server; Google BigQuery experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Python for data analysis and data movement; machine learning experience preferred.
  • Proficient with a standard BI platform (Tableau preferred; SSRS experience preferred).
  • Experience with tracking work and version control tools (JIRA preferred; GIT preferred).
  • Experience creating and troubleshooting ETL data delivery in a complex, interconnected environment (SSIS and Google Dataform preferred).
  • Experience delivering iteratively in a fast-paced, professional team environment.
  • Knowledge of contact center, technology support metrics, and ITIL service management metrics preferred.
  • Ability to distill complex processes into clear documentation.
