Software Engineer (Display Products) - Early Career
Job Description
An early career software engineer will contribute to Windows and user interface software development while integrating new capabilities for the Aegis Combat System, using Java, C++, or Python on Linux/UNIX environments. The role is onsite in Mount Laurel, NJ, and requires US citizenship and a government security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Define mission critical requirements.
- Develop Windows based user interfaces to support military personnel operations.
- Integrate new capabilities into the Aegis Combat System.
- Implement software, perform L1 unit testing, L2 automated testing, or conduct code inspections in Java, C++, or Python to troubleshoot software issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience with Java, C++, or Python to troubleshoot software issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Must be a US Citizen; eligibility for a government security clearance is required. The position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Experience with Linux/UNIX operating systems.

Salary
Base salary range for this position in New Jersey: USD 61,500 to 116,455 per year.

- The base salary range for New Jersey is $61,500 - $116,455.
