Sr. Product Engineer, Fluid Power and Pressure Control Systems
Job Description
The Senior Product Engineer leads fluid power and pressure control product lines, owning the design, development, and support of hydraulic, pneumatic, and high‑pressure systems used in industrial applications. This onsite role is based in Katy, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Owns the technical direction for assigned fluid power and pressure control systems
- Design and specify hydraulic, pneumatic, and pressure-based solutions, including component selection, sizing, and system integration
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and bill of materials
- Perform system analyses including pressure, flow, force, thermal considerations, and safety factors
- Support the design of pressure testing systems, control strategies, and safety compliance
- Lead troubleshooting, validation testing, and root cause investigations
- Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve technical issues and improve production efficiency
- Ensure adherence to applicable pressure and fluid power standards
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in customer technical discussions
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in fluid power, hydraulics, pneumatics, pressure control, or engineered industrial equipment
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuit design
- Experience with pressure vessels or high-pressure systems preferred
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and P&IDs
- Familiarity with ASME, API, NFPA, or related standards is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Compensation and Schedule
Annual salary range: USD 115,000 – 145,000.
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed
- Travel: Minimal to moderate travel
