Sr. R&D Engineer
Job Description
Contract Sr. R&D Engineer position with a medical device manufacturer in Fort Worth, TX onsite, 14-month assignment on first shift with design support, CAD modeling, CNC grinding, FMEA, GD&T, and design control documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of medical device products.
- Refine concepts through CAD modeling and engineering drawings.
- Support CNC grinding setup, troubleshooting, and manufacturability improvements.
- Perform GD&T analysis and tolerance stack-up reviews.
- Lead or participate in FMEA to identify risks and mitigation actions.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and R&D teams.
- Contribute to design reviews, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare technical documentation and support design control activities.
- Assist with transitioning new designs into production environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience.
- Strong experience with FMEA (at least 2 years).
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Experience supporting product design and development projects.
- Ability to work independently in a cross-functional environment.
