Sr. R&D Engineer

Contract Sr. R&D Engineer position with a medical device manufacturer in Fort Worth, TX onsite, 14-month assignment on first shift with design support, CAD modeling, CNC grinding, FMEA, GD&T, and design control documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of medical device products.
• Refine concepts through CAD modeling and engineering drawings.
• Support CNC grinding setup, troubleshooting, and manufacturability improvements.
• Perform GD&T analysis and tolerance stack-up reviews.
• Lead or participate in FMEA to identify risks and mitigation actions.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and R&D teams.
• Contribute to design reviews, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare technical documentation and support design control activities.
• Assist with transitioning new designs into production environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience.
• Strong experience with FMEA (at least 2 years).
• Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Experience supporting product design and development projects.
• Ability to work independently in a cross-functional environment.
