Sr. Software Engineer
Job Description
Edmentum is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to architect and deliver scalable, accessible software solutions. This role emphasizes modern engineering with .NET and Angular, while also driving modernization of legacy web applications and owning delivery from idea through production. This position is based in Bloomington, MN (remote).
Role Focus
The Senior Software Engineer will lead technical design efforts, modernize existing web experiences, and ensure solutions are delivered with quality and iterative value. The role includes collaboration with product stakeholders on solution viability and estimation, along with proactive identification and mitigation of technical risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver high-quality, scalable, accessible software solutions using modern .NET and Angular frameworks.
- Run technical design sessions and mentor team members to elevate engineering standards.
- Consult with product stakeholders on solution feasibility and support estimation activities.
- Modernize legacy web applications and promote the adoption of engineering best practices.
- Identify technical risks and inefficiencies early, then take action to resolve them.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for solutions and processes.
- Own the end-to-end solution lifecycle, emphasizing quality and iterative delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Adopt AI/agentic assisted development practices using advanced context engineering, and promote AI-first workflows across the full software delivery lifecycle.
- Use AI to improve speed, quality, and consistency, while applying strong technical judgment, critical evaluation, and debugging to validate and refine AI outputs.
- Strong proficiency in C#, modern .NET, and functional programming concepts.
- Proven experience building scalable web applications with Angular (or React), including attention to usable interaction patterns and WCAG-aligned implementation.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), DevOps practices, and cloud-native considerations in AWS environments.
- Results-oriented approach with strong attention to detail and quality.
- Self-starter mindset with comfort working autonomously in Agile environments.
- Solid computer science fundamentals and a collaborative work style.

- BS degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) and 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Willingness to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs.
- Preferred location: Minnesota or Central Time Zone.
