Staff UI/UX Engineer

Innovaccer is seeking a Staff UI/UX Engineer to lead the technical foundation of its design system across the product suite. This role focuses on architecting reusable, accessible React components, maintaining design-token and theming integrity, and coordinating releases and adoption with Design.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve the component library, design tokens, and theming system.
• Build composable, flexible components that support real enterprise complexity.
• Ensure accessibility and screen reader support across components.
• Own component API design decisions.
• Partner with Design so the design and code systems do not drift apart.
• Build infrastructure for automated testing, accessibility checks, and CI gates.
• Own releases, including versioning, backwards compatibility, and migration tooling.
• Drive adoption across product teams.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of frontend experience with ownership of a large production design system.
• Strong product and visual judgment, with an eye for good design.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Solid understanding of component architecture, accessibility, and browser fundamentals.
• Experience managing breaking changes, API evolution, and large-scale migrations.
• Experience building complex application UI for enterprise applications.
• Experience packaging and publishing npm libraries and CI/CD for shared packages.
• Experience running governance, contribution models, and cross-team design reviews.
• Curiosity about how design systems interface with AI coding tools.
