System Software Engineer (Up to $30,000 sign on bonus available)

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a System Software Engineer to lead the NIGHTRAVEN program from its onsite facility in Hanover, MD. This senior role blends technical leadership with hands-on development, guiding a team of engineers to deliver mission-critical system software using DevOps tooling, and it includes a sign-on bonus of up to $30,000.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and support sprints, testing, and release documentation; coordinate with the customer lead and assign tasks for team members.
• Collaborate with PMO, customer leads, and team members to align goals and deliverables.
• Drive innovation and efficiency across the software lifecycle.
• Utilize Jira, Jenkins, Docker and other DevOps tools to support continuous integration and delivery.

Requirements

• Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree.
• Experience: 10+ years of related experience.
• Technical skills: SCRUM management, Docker and other DevOps tools, Git, Jenkins, Nexus.
• Preferred working knowledge of Cypress software testing.
• Working knowledge of: Angular, Springboot, Java, JavaScript, Linux operating systems (Rocky and RedHat).
• Security clearance level: TS//SCI Full scope with the DoW customer.
• US citizenship required.
• Role requirements: Strong verbal and written communication skills; manage sprints, coordinate sprint backlog, facilitate test environment, manage release candidates, EOTR.

Salary and Benefit Information

The salary range for this role is $186,575 to $252,425 per year. This range is not a guarantee of compensation; final pay will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements and could fall outside the stated range. The position also includes a sign-on bonus up to $30,000, and a comprehensive benefits and total rewards program.
