Overview
KO Business Solutions is a family-owned consulting firm partnering with a veteran-owned civil engineering practice in Lisle, Illinois. They are seeking a Senior Transportation Design Engineer to deliver high-quality civil design drawings for roadway projects.
Details
- Schedule: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
- Location: Lisle, IL 60532
- Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
- Salary: $80,000-$100,000
- Salary: $100,000+
Responsibilities
The Transportation Design Engineer will maintain high-quality results while following established standards and procedures. Key duties include:
- Preparing and editing engineering drawings, exhibits, and plans using CAD and design software
- Supporting civil engineers with visual design components for roadways, stormwater systems, utilities, and erosion control
- Assisting with developing cost estimates, project documentation, and submittals for agency review
- Organizing and maintaining drawing files and templates while adhering to project standards
Job Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in engineering graphics or drafting
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Prior experience with Bentley MicroStation
- OpenRoads Designer experience preferred
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or PE license preferred
- Familiarity with Civil/Site or Transportation Infrastructure projects preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
