Transportation Design Engineer
Job Description
Transportation Design Engineer in Lisle, IL (onsite) focused on delivering high quality roadway design drawings and supporting roadway infrastructure design using CAD and design software.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and edit engineering drawings, exhibits, and plans using CAD and related design tools.
- Support civil engineers with visual design components for roadways, stormwater systems, utilities, and erosion control.
- Assist in developing cost estimates, project documentation, and submittals for agency review.
- Organize and maintain drawing files and templates in alignment with project standards.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in engineering graphics or drafting
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Prior experience with Bentley MicroStation
- OpenRoads Designer experience preferred
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam completed or PE licensure preferred
- Familiarity with Civil/Site or Transportation Infrastructure projects preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
