A Transportation and roadway engineering role with GSG Consultants, Inc. in Schaumburg, IL, focusing on planning, roadway design, traffic analysis, client relations, marketing, and mentoring.

Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and design small to medium transportation projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary design team on larger initiatives.
Contribute to roadway design and traffic analysis for local, arterial, and interstate facilities as part of the design team.
Build and sustain client relationships to ensure satisfaction and achievement of project objectives.
Support marketing efforts, prepare proposals, win work, and nurture key client connections.
Engage in client-focused professional organizations and technical societies.
Mentor junior professionals and supervise CADD staff in plan production.
Conduct traffic studies and prepare traffic reports.
Perform barrier warrant analysis.

Requirements

BSCE required
IL PE preferred
At least 4 years of engineering experience with a transportation focus, including roadway and traffic analysis; traffic signal or roundabout design experience is a plus.
Solid understanding of transportation design and construction standards; additional traffic engineering experience is advantageous.
Proven track record of meeting project deadlines and budgets.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with municipal, county, and state agencies in support of transportation projects.
Experience with MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, Autodesk Civil3D.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management.
Adaptable with the ability to respond quickly and accurately under pressure.
