Responsibilities

Requirements
- Federal Aviation Administration or other Government Agency experience.
- Deep expertise implementing and managing NIST SP 800-53 security controls, including control selection, tailoring, documentation, and ongoing maintenance.
- Proven ability to coordinate with engineering teams to ensure technical compliance and alignment with system requirements.
- Experience leading security assessment activities, including vulnerability scanning, remediation coordination, and risk mitigation.
- Strong understanding of system hardening, secure configuration baselines, and operational security constraints.
- Ability to support systems through the ATO lifecycle, including preparation of security artifacts and collaboration with assessment teams.
- Capability to assess control effectiveness and maintain audit-ready evidence in dynamic environments.
- Experience identifying, prioritizing, and resolving security issues quickly to minimize risk and program delays.
- Ability to provide expert guidance on security architecture decisions across multiple programs.
- Skilled in applying risk-based decision-making and balancing security requirements with engineering realities.
- Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and their practical implementation.
- Experience standardizing security practices across teams to improve consistency and efficiency.
- Ability to reduce rework and accelerate delivery through established best practices and institutional knowledge.

Total Rewards
